The Olean Theatre Workshop presents, "I Never Saw a Butterfly", a moving theatrical production that honors the memories of children who perished in the Terezin concentration camp in WWII. Based on their poems and drawings, the play showcases their hope, creativity, and humanity amidst unimaginable suffering, serving as a powerful tribute to their legacy.

Beat the winter blues and join us for a winter filled with fun indoor and outdoor activities. Allegany State Park and the Pat McGee Trail will be bustling with activities provided by the Allegany Region Environmental Educators. 

Beaver Pond Hike- Meet at 1:00 p.m. at Camp Allegany and hike to the Bova beaver ponds and learn more about these industrious creatures.

The New York Times says it is like being “transported to a scene from an old black and white Christmas movie.” Kick off the Holiday Season with us! Christmas in Ellicottville Weekend is back and will be merrier than ever!

Enjoy horse drawn carriage rides, real reindeer, kids Christmas crafts, cookie decorating and more all at no cost to you in the spirit of the holiday season!  

First Day Bike. Next Level Mountain Biking will be leading a ride in the Red House area. Meet at Camp Allegany at 11:00 am on January 1, 2025. The pace and the length of the ride will be moderate and be determined by the participants. Participants may split into different paced groups, if necessary. No one will be left behind. HO! HO! HO! The holidays are fast approaching and there's no better way to get into the spirit than by spending some time in Allegany State Park. Join the Environmental Education Department on Saturday, December 2nd for a fun, festive, family event- Saturday with Santa!

Join Citizens Preparedness Corps on November 22nd at 1:00pm in the Camp Allegany Classroom for a free training session. Learn how to make a family emergency plan, build a go-bag, and stay safe during natural disasters.

Ever start a "quick" hike that turned into more of an adventure? 

Head to Camp Allegany Recreation Hall at 1:00pm on November 6th for "I Will Survive" and learn the tricks ancestors used to stay alive when the weather and wilderness turned tough. 

Explore classic and moder survival skills - and have some fun along the way! Dress for the outdoors! 

Come celebrate the magic of the holiday season at the free, family-friendly Annual Holiday Tree lighting celebration at Seneca Allegany on Wednesday, December 3 from 4 to 7 p.m., featuring horse-drawn carriage rides from 4-7pm and a tree lighting at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Lincoln Park will be transformed into a holiday haven as the Jingle Bell Jubilee returns on December 13 from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., bringing the magic of a European-style holiday market to the heart of Downtown Olean. This festive event promises fun for the whole family with local artisan vendors, food, drinks, music, and special activities that will make attendees feel like they've stepped into a Hallmark movie.

Learn about the Butterflies of Allegany State Park. Park Educator and butterfly enthusiast Tom LeBlanc will guide you through the butterflies that are found here and the research on the butterflies of the park. The presentation will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the Camp Allegany Classroom.
