Education in Nature
There are plenty of fun and educational activities to do with the entire family in the Enchanted Mountains of Cattaraugus County.
Step Right Up at the Cattaraugus County Fair
Cotton candy, fried food, rides, animal shows, and live entertainment, are all available at the Cattauragus County Fair. Make plans to catch the demolition derby, monster trucks, or a concert. Have some good old fashioned fun! The fair is held yearly, the first week in August.
Trip to Space
Go on a simulated space mission to Mars, a Comet, or Earth at the Challenger Learning Center. This is a hands-on learning facility specializing in science, technology, math and engineering to spark youth interest and joy. They also offer camps in the summer and fun, educational events throughout the year.

New Year's Eve Liquor Mile & 5K
Join Ellicottville Distillery as they celebrate the last day of 2023 with their annual "Liquor Mile" at on Sunday December 31st!
Distillery opens and registration for runners starts at 11am. Run starts at 12pm. It is $25 a runner to enter the 5k followed by the Liquor Mile which is $15. $35 fee if you are planning on doing both the 5K & Liquor Mile.
All proceeds will be donated to Oishei Children’s hospital.
After every quarter of a mile you get a miniature cocktail! 1 mile run + 4 drinks!
