Skiing Cross Country

Holiday Valley has announced that they will be opening for the season on Tuesday, December 13 at 9 a.m.  and will operate through 10 p.m.  for day and night skiing.   Slopes include Mardi Gras, Yodeler and the Candy Cane loop and possibly School Haus West.   Lifts include Yodeler and Mardi Gras quads and possibly School Haus.

Ttorchlight parade at 11:30 and fireworks at 11:45 with the Grand Finale at midnight.

The Penguin Paddle is a fundraiser where participants slide down the slope on their belly "penguin style" in a stylish garbage bag.

Saturday's Events include the Snow PonyRaces,  Scavenger Hunt on Slippery Street, Live Entertainment at Yodeler Lodge, and the Mardi Gras Parade (6:30pm) in the village of Ellicottville.

This event is the 1st ever for the proposed "Pop Warner Trail" which is 1.7 miles of railroad bed within Springvilles Village limits.

Springville is naming their section after "Pop Warner" who was from Springville and was considered the father of football.
