Historic Villages in the Enchanted Mountains of Cattaraugus County
The Allegany Area Historical Asscoiation will meet on Sunday, May 20 at 2:00PM at the Heritage Center, 25 North Second Street. Della Moore, Executive Director of the African American Center for Cultural Development will give a talk about the Underground Railroad in Olean and Cattaraugus County.
A BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION is being planned to celebrate the Town of Little Valley's 200th Birthday! The celebration begins on August 25, 2018 and continue into the 26th with a parade and closing ceremony! Craft (prefer actual handmade) and food vendors will be located in the Park.
Have some old-fashioned fun on Cadiz Heritage Day to be held at the Howe-Prescott House with cultural demonstrations and food!
Watch apple cider being pressed, a blacksmith making tools, and butter churning. Learn about quilting, crop harvesting and more skills necessary in the 1800s. There will also be historical items on display; like antique engines and so much more!
