Take a daytrip to visit Allegany State Park, Rock City Park, Griffis Sculpture Park, Sky High Adventure Park or Onoville Marina, all opening the beginning of May!

For all the nature lovers out there, Allegany State Park is the place you want to visit! Book your cabin or reserve your site for your sizzlin' summer vacation. Make your vacation exciting and fun while hiking through the woods, biking along the paved routes, or fishing on Red House Lake- rentals are available!  This is the season for exploring the great outdoors and there's no better place to do just that than Allegany State Park.

Discover rocks up to 80 feet tall that have been left over from the ice age at Rock City Park. Offering visitors and adventure seekers a spectacular view of the Enchanted Mountains from "Signal Rock", lets you gaze upon the hills from above the tree line. Hike the trail that leads under, around and sometimes through these magnificent rocks. This park is a great way to start your Summer Fun!

The grass is always greener at Griffis Sculpture Park, where nature combines with art. Hike along the trail to discover 250+ enormous sculptures. Culture enthusiasts and adults like the park because it has beauty like no other, while children like the park because you can climb on most of the sculptures!  Fun to visit in any season, visitors enjoy feeling the warmth of the sun while resting beside a giant giraffe or sitting near the ladies of the lake. 

Sky High Adventure Park in Ellicottville is the coolest place to be this summer. See why this is a summer must-do when you are whizzing down one of their numerous ziplines. Choose any of their courses, tailored to different levels of difficulty, making your way through the obstacles in the trees.  Everyone in the family will enjoy the exhilarating fun of this Aerial Park, the largest in NY State!  Guaranteed to be the story of the summer that you tell all your friends and family!

Launch at Onoville Marina Park, the largest inland marina in New York State. Campsites, dock space and fuel dock are available as well as great dining nearby at the Horseshoe Inn. View the beautiful scenery of rolling hills and wooded areas as you drift or speed along! Boat rentals are available at the Bayview Mini-Mart and Ice Cream Parlor. Mark July 23rd on your calendar for Onofest! A day-long event filled with good music, food, crafts and fireworks alongside the water!

Top 10 site for Steelhead Fishing

Cattaraugus Creek has been listed in the top 10 sites for Steelhead Fishing (rainbow trout fishing) by 2 outdoor magazines. Steelhead Trout AKA Rainbow trout are very similar to Salmon in both taste and habits. Unlike other areas of the United States, our native Rainbow trout (Steelhead Trout) spend a majority of time in Lake Erie a freshwater lake and spawn in the Cattaraugus Creek and other tributaries.

Lake Erie's tributary streams, both big and small, receive an annual run of migratory rainbow trout called "steelhead." From October through April, thousands of steelhead ascend New York's Lake Erie tributaries on their mission to spawn. Excellent fishing opportunities await any angler who wishes to try their hand at steelhead fishing. Between the acrobatic leaps, long drag-screaming runs and rod quaking head shakes, the fight of an early run steelhead is a truly exhilarating experience.
