The Allegany Nature Pilgrimage began in 1959 and was attended by 70 participants. From those humble beginnings, the event has grown and has been going strong for over 50 years.

Now organized by volunteers from four nature-loving organizations, the annual event is held at Allegany State Park on the weekend after Memorial Day and it draws hundreds of participants.

The window for booking your lodging at Allegany State Park is now open. Get your cabin or campsite now from the Park! You may find more selections of campground and cabin trails if you look now!

Miner's Cabin built by Gold Miner

Miner’s Cabin in Franklinville was built by a miner that returned home after making it good during the gold rush era of the west coast. The building is not a cabin either but a three story house of Queen Anne design.
