Heritage Day at the Onöhsagwë: De’ Cultural Center

The SINM is happy to announce the return of their annual Heritage Day festival. The event is free and open to the public. This year’s theme will be Native boarding school awareness. There will be an in-person auction on the day of the festival, with proceeds benefitting the Thomas Indian School Alumni.

In memory of Native children who attended boarding schools, there will be smoke dance competitions from ages 0-17. Registration closes at noon with the contests to start immediately after.

Food and craft vendors may inquire for spots by calling the Onöhsagwë: De’ Cultural Center at 716-945-1760.

Electrical spaces for vendors is limited, and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. All art/craft vendors will be asked to submit a donation valued at $25 or more to go into the auction.
