Did you know National Beaver Day is April 7th?
To celebrate these industrious engineers, Allegany Educators invite you for a Beaver Nature Walk at Allegany State Park on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 at 1:00pm.
Meet up at Camp Allegany to start the trek to learn about the amazing Beaver and their impact on the park's ecosystem!
Join Gowanda's Historic Hollywood Theater for the Final Centennial Celebration on Sunday, April 19th at 12:00pm.
Come and help celebrate the Hollywood's 100th Birthday with organist Dennis James, Hollywood Drama Camp Alumni performances, and of course cake!
This event is FREE to the public with concessions for sale.
The NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation is hosting a FREE fishing day on November 11th. There’s no fishing license required on those days for the fresh or marine waters of New York State, making it the opportune time for people of all ages to learn and enjoy the day. We especially encourage those with more experience to bring along the young people in your life to show them the value of patience, the anticipation of the bite and the exhilaration of the catch!
Join the Regina A Quick Center staff as they conclude their yearlong celebration with a special evening honoring the center's founders and supporters. The gala will feature a performance by Olean-born, Grammy-nominated artist Calabria Foti, pianist and SBU professor Laura Peterson, Jazz musicians and more.

Join the Onöhsagwë: de’ Cultural Center for a day of shopping. Native artists and craftspeople will be set up indoors, throughout the building. Free and open to the public. Museum admission is free for the day.
The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts at St. Bonaventure University kicks off its 10-year anniversary this month participating in the National Summer Reading Program, making stops at public libraries across New York and Pennsylvania.
Discover the history of Allegany State Park- January 1, 2026. This year’s First Day Hike is an easy trek featuring historical and environmental tidbits of information about the features found in this area of the park. Your hike will take you along the Quaker Multiuse trail that conveniently has an entrance at Camp Turner.
At 11:30 a.m. join park educators for a guided hike at Science Lake and learn the history and interesting historical figures of the park. The Historical Society will have the Quaker Museum open from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Holiday Valley has announced that their anticipated opening day is December 6th- Weather permitting. Finger crossed that Mother Nature let's that happen!!

Kick off the summer on June 21st, 2025 when all of Main Street in Little Valley will be closed for the inaugural Little Valley Community Day! Over 30 vendors will fill the street along with food trucks, family activities, children's games, live music, bounce houses and more! The event will run from 1pm until 9pm. This is a rain or shine event.

The Challenger Learning Center in Allegany is hosting a magical event where kids, and parents, can dress up as their favorite wizards and participate in over 30 STEAM activities on October 26th, from 5:30-7:30pm.
Cost: $5 per person
*If you register by October 22nd, your child will receive a special letter from Hogwarts via email that you can print out!
Event Highlights:
First Day Bike. Next Level Mountain Biking will be leading a ride in the Red House area. Meet at Camp Allegany at 11:00 am on January 1, 2025. The pace and the length of the ride will be moderate and be determined by the participants. Participants may split into different paced groups, if necessary. No one will be left behind. Fat tire bikes are suggested, given the range of conditions likely to be present, however, use your best judgement for the conditions of the day. Questions: Contact Kristian Reiber at 716-785-2685.
