HO! HO! HO! The holidays are right around the corner, and there's no better way to get into the spirit than by spending a fun-filled day at Allegany State Park for a Saturday with Santa on Saturday December 6th from 11:00am - 3:00pm.
Join the Environmental Education Department for a festive family event featuring crafts, games, photos with Santa, and plenty of holiday cheer.
The Jingle Bell Jubilee is a holiday event featuring many activities and events: the holiday market, carolers, dance groups, wreath creation class, Shop Raffle Drawing, Sips of the Season, make and take craft, horse and wagon rides; an inflated snow globe for picture opps, cocoa and cookie crawl, decorate the tree contest, cookie decorating, and even a Rudolph run! Hours for the event are 4:30-8pm.
Spring is here! Join an Allegany State Park Naturalist for a "Signs of Spring Evening Walk" explaining Allegany State Park's blossoming spring critters on Wednesday, April 23rd from 6:30-8:00pm. Participants will be treated to some early signs of spring that may include display flight of American Woodcock, chorusing amphibians, newly emerged spring plants and much more. Come early and celebrate Earth Day with making bird feeders using recyclable materials. Earth Day is all about environmental stewardship, and this activity is a meaningful way to reduce waste and support local wildlife.
As autumn breezes in and the leaves begin to paint the landscape in hues of gold and crimson, there's one destination that captures the essence of the season like no other: Pumpkinville.
