Spring is here! Join an Allegany State Park Naturalist for a "Signs of Spring Evening Walk" explaining Allegany State Park's blossoming spring critters on Wednesday, April 23rd from 6:30-8:00pm. Participants will be treated to some early signs of spring that may include display flight of American Woodcock, chorusing amphibians, newly emerged spring plants and much more. Come early and celebrate Earth Day with making bird feeders using recyclable materials. Earth Day is all about environmental stewardship, and this activity is a meaningful way to reduce waste and support local wildlife.

Join Allegany State Park Staff and WNYMBA members for the last ride of the year! 

The bike ride will begin at Camp Allegany on December 31st, 2025, at 6:00pm, with the ride starting at 6:30pm. 

What to bring?

• Lights
• Wear warm and reflective gear
• Helmet
• Your own bike for the ride
• Snacks/Water

Participants may be split into different paced groups, if necessary. No one will be left behind!

Join ASP to mountain bike with a park educator! Advanced and beginner riders are welcome and can meet certified mountain biking instructors at Summit Warming Hut. Helmets are required to participate. If you need to borrow a bike please text 716-265-8366 to reserve.

The Summit 50/50, hosted by Reluctant Runner Racing, is a Trail Sisters approved ultra trail race in the stunning summit of Allegany State Park, New York's largest and most picturesque state park. The NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation is hosting a FREE fishing day on February 17-18, June 29-30, September 28, and November 11th. There’s no fishing license required on those days for the fresh or marine waters of New York State, making it the opportune time for people of all ages to learn and enjoy the day. We especially encourage those with more experience to bring along the young people in your life to show them the value of patience, the anticipation of the bite and the exhilaration of the catch!
