Discover the history of Allegany State Park- January 1, 2026. This year’s First Day Hike is an easy trek featuring historical and environmental tidbits of information about the features found in this area of the park. Your hike will take you along the Quaker Multiuse trail that conveniently has an entrance at Camp Turner.
At 11:30 a.m. join park educators for a guided hike at Science Lake and learn the history and interesting historical figures of the park. The Historical Society will have the Quaker Museum open from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

HoliMont Contractor’s Day is an event filled with many fun activities that take place on and off the slopes. This year’s activities include the 36th annual Dave Pitkin Memorial Ski Race, dedicated to him to commemorate his enduring spirit, his contributions to the HoliMont Racing Club, and his part in creating the racing hill, Our infamous Bombardier Ball Drop, Lunch provided by Dina’s at the Mont, A vendor market, and an Apres Ski Party. This event is sponsored by many local businesses and helps us celebrate and support our local community. Join us for our favorite day of the year!

The Haunted Hinsdale House presents this exclusive Overnight Ghost Hunt at 8pm and it will run until 9am the next day. Your all inclusive experience will include a tour of the grounds and inside the historic building. You will get history and stories from your guide, as well as use of some ghost hunting equipment to see if we can connect with the other side.
