Come join Santa and Mrs. Claus as they officially light the town's holiday decorations! This festive Annual Santa Claus Lane Parade is held annually on the Friday after Thanksgiving and the traditional kick-off to the holiday season. Santa will be in attendance and light up thousands of lights in Lincoln Park and downtown Olean when he parades through town in celebration.

Music in the Park Returns July 25th, 2024 featuring Kokomo Time Band 

They will be playing a collection of festive, feel good music including 50's - 70's Oldies, Cajun - Tex - Mex, and Fun Beach Party Music. Check out the band at https://www.facebook.com/funbandnumber1/ 

This 2-day clinic is perfect for the intermediate to advanced-level woman skier who wants to have more control, more confidence and more fun with their skiing!

Several Holiday Valley's women instructors lead the groups through free skiing, drills, non-intimidating race training, and video analysis.

Women's ski demos are included.

Come down to Bicentennial Park on Erie St. in Little Valley Thursday, August 22nd for the final "Music in the Park" this summer hosted by Friends of Little Valley along with a cornhole tournament hosted by $lick $hooters Cornhole! 

Music begins at 6pm, featuring the "Iron Eyes Experience", a local three piece group based out of Salamanca. The band is well known for their rock and blues style that can be heard echoing throughout the enchanted mountains of Cattaraugus County! 

Get ready for a rocking good time at Allegany State Park on Quaker Beach on Friday, July 18 from 5pm - 9pm. 

• 5-8:30pm: "Ask the Naturalist" and yard games, including Kickball (for all!) from 5-6pm! 
• Many unique vendors and treats
• 7-9pm: Live music by Marshmellow Overcoat

The Challenger Learning Center in Allegany is hosting a magical event where kids, and parents, can dress up as their favorite wizards and participate in over 30 STEAM activities on October 26th, from 5:30-7:30pm. 

Cost: $5 per person 

*If you register by October 22nd, your child will receive a special letter from Hogwarts via email that you can print out!

April calls for spring cleaning, and the Allegany State Park Historical Society invites the community to help get the Quaker Museum and St. John’s Chapel ready for the season on Saturday, April 18th, 2026 at 1:00pm!

Lend a hand with some dusting, vacuuming, and light cleaning to freshen up these two historic gems. The cleanup will last approximately 90 minutes. Cleaning supplies like shop vacs, rags, and dusting tools are welcome, though some will be provided on-site.

The Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce and city leadership are inviting the community out for a night on the town. Working with the city and members of the business community, the Chamber is announcing “StrOlean,” the event aims to bring folks to the downtown shopping district for an evening of fun.
