Through the generosity of the community businesses and organizations listed below, the City of Olean Youth Bureau & Recreation Department is offering free admission for public ice skating. There is a $4.00 skate rental fee.

Cummins Cider Mill, located in Portville, will be opening for the season on Wednesday, September 4th from 9am-7:30pm. 

Stop by and enjoy the fresh aroma of apples and spices as you enjoy some refreshing cider and maybe a doughnut or two while surrounding yourself with the cozy Autumn atmosphere.

Join Royal Fern Nursery, LLC on Saturday, August 30th from 2-5pm for an immersive outdoor experience! 

Explore the trails and learn about native plant identification, ecology, and traditional uses with expert guides. Browse a selection of native flowers, grasses, trees, and shrubs to enhance your outdoor space. 

Plus, support the Nature Center - a percentage of the proceeds will be donated. Mark your calendars and come connect with nature!

Join Next Level Mountain Biking for the first "bike" of the year! 

Meet at Camp Allegany at 11am on January 1st, 2026. The pace and length of the ride will be moderate or determined by the riders. Participants may split into two different groups so that no one gets left behind. 

Fat Tire bikes are advised, given the conditions of the trails that may be present.

Come over to the Salamanca Rail Museum on Main St, August 31st from 12pm - 4pm for some end of summer fun! 

There will be "old time" games, a hat craft, temporary tattoos, and a raffle basket including some Rail Museum Swag & gift shop goodies!

View the Kentucky Derby live in their tasting room, featuring their own "KenDucky Derby" in the local creek, and live music with Porcelain Train from 3pm-6pm! Wear your favorite derby hat!
