Come join Santa and Mrs. Claus as they officially light the town's holiday decorations! This festive Annual Santa Claus Lane Parade is held annually on the Friday after Thanksgiving and the traditional kick-off to the holiday season. Santa will be in attendance and light up thousands of lights in Lincoln Park and downtown Olean when he parades through town in celebration.

This 2-day clinic is perfect for the intermediate to advanced-level woman skier who wants to have more control, more confidence and more fun with their skiing!

Several Holiday Valley's women instructors lead the groups through free skiing, drills, non-intimidating race training, and video analysis.

Women's ski demos are included.

Be ready before the storm hits! 

Join Citizens Preparedness Corps on November 22nd at 1:00pm in the Camp Allegany Classroom for a free training session. Learn how to make a family emergency plan, build a go-bag, and stay safe during natural disasters. 

Each Family will receive a free preparedness kit! Registration is required: Event Registration

The Silver Bells Parade will take place on Sunday, December 8, 2024 starting at 6:00pm.

The Challenger Learning Center in Allegany is hosting a magical event where kids, and parents, can dress up as their favorite wizards and participate in over 30 STEAM activities on October 26th, from 5:30-7:30pm. 

Cost: $5 per person 

*If you register by October 22nd, your child will receive a special letter from Hogwarts via email that you can print out! 

Event Highlights:

Enjoy a unique and fast-paced take on the Bard with "Shakespeare Abridged"! This comedic performace is brought to the state by the Kenan Center Troupe. The Kenan Center is one of the premier facilities in the Buffalo Niagara region for arts, education and recreation programming.

Showtime is Friday, April 17th, 2026 at 7:30pm and Saturday, April 18th, 2026 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for senior citizens and SBU staff & faculty, and $5 for students. 

Lincoln Park will be transformed into a holiday haven as the Jingle Bell Jubilee returns on December 13 from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., bringing the magic of a European-style holiday market to the heart of Downtown Olean. This festive event promises fun for the whole family with local artisan vendors, food, drinks, music, and special activities that will make attendees feel like they've stepped into a Hallmark movie.

Ever start a "quick" hike that turned into more of an adventure? 

Head to Camp Allegany Recreation Hall at 1:00pm on November 6th for "I Will Survive" and learn the tricks ancestors used to stay alive when the weather and wilderness turned tough. 

Explore classic and moder survival skills - and have some fun along the way! Dress for the outdoors! 

Ring in the New Year with a refreshing first day hike at Pfeiffer Nature Center! Join them for a peaceful winter walk with fresh air, quiet trails, and community connection. 

Celebrate New York State's Path through History Weekend with a presentation about the Holland Land Company at the Leon Historical Society on June 15th at 11am. Barker Museum's Archivist, Catherine Oag-Miller will lead the presentation. She has extensive knowledge of people and happenings of the local areas and is known for giving an engaging presentation. For those of you who may have Holland Land Co. on your Deed, bring a notebook and enjoy hearing Ms. Oag-Miller at the 1836 Church in Leon, NY. Light refreshments will be served. 

Join the Olean Community Theatre as they present Andrew Lloyd Weber's 'School of Rock', the Musical. Follow Dewy Finn, an out of work Rock singer and guitarist as he pretends to be a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school, preparing a band of fifth graders to win an upcoming battle of the bands contest! Sure to be a rocking good show! Directed by Kelly Vaccaro with a special arrangement by Concord Theatrics.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, May 18th from noon to 4 pm for the 10th Annual Cruising Against Cancer Car and Craft Show located at the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds! All proceeds will benefit the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation. 

This event is rain or shine, in the event of inclement weather, they will move under the barns.
