The Leon Historical Society is hosting the Turkey Table Runner Party on October 6, 2018!! Grab a friend and come out for a day of quilting where you will learn a time honored quilt pattern as you make your family a new Thanksgiving table runner with a Dresden Designed turkey on each end of the runner.
During the Civil War, many local men from Allegany and Humphrey fought on behalf of the Union. One of them, Pvt. Oscar F. Wilber, fought for the Union with the 154th New York Volunteer Infantry, until he was wounded on May 3, 1863 at the Battle of Chancellorsville.
Leon Historical Society hosts the Snowman Door Hanging Project with Patty teaching the appliqué technique. This one is really fun and a beautiful piece for the holidays! And Snowmen can stay up until they melt! At least February!
