Leon Historical Society Events

October 16:  Museum will be open 10am - 4pm, display of the Pennyroyal Race Track.  Built in 1870 for a horse track; the property was purchased in 1946 by the fire department and this was the beginning of auto racing in the area.  This track was considered the fastest half-mile track in the area.

The church will have music by Chautauqua Shore Sweet Adelines from 2:30 - 4pm.

October 23:  The church will have a display of Amish quilts and crafts; the museum will be open 10am - 4pm.

October 30:  Maurice Brown's Mountain Railroad will perform in concert from 2 to 4pm in the 1836 historical church.  A fall bake sale will be hosted by the historical society, and includes the drawing at 3 pm for the Chinese auction that has been running since October 1.
