Don't miss this lip smackin', barbeque sauce on your chin, family fun event.The "Swine Time Parade" will make its' debut on Sunday, August 18 at 2:00 pm. The parade will kick off with the Rib Master Grand Marshall down Broad Street to Veterans Memorial Park. Seneca Salamanca Chamber is currently seeking parade participants and units looking to have fun and "ham it up" at this year's Ribfest. All units are encouraged to feature a pig theme. 

New to this year's festival is Ribs 'n Rides Car & Bike Show. Cars and bikes will cruise over on Saturday, August 17 for registration from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, awards begin at 3:00 pm and trophies given to those Best in Show. All makes and models are welcome and dash plaques will be handed out to the first 50 cars to arrive at the event. Pre-registration is $8, day of event $10.

Friday, August 16,  3:00 - 5:00pm  Cruisin'   

                                  5:00 - 7:00 pm  The Bob Hartle Band 

                                  8:00 - 10:00 pm  West of the Mark

 

 Saturday, August 17, 1:00 - 3:00 pm  Freddie and the Jets 

                                          4:00 - 6:00 pm   The Blues Hounds

                                          6:00 - 7:00 pm   Allegany River Indian Dancers 

                                          7:00 - 9:00 pm  "The Spirit of Johnny Cash" 

 

Sunday, August 18, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm  Roll the Dice

                                         1:00 - 2:30 pm  Freddie & Friends

                                         2:30 - 4:00 pm Goodbye Dawn

                                         4:00 - 6:00 pm  Oliverio

  • and 2012 Allegany Rockin Ribfest Rib Master back to defend their title - Two Fat Guys BBQ! 

New attractions this year! Featuring fun shaped bounce houses, trampolines, rock climbing walls and face painting!

If bbq isn't your favorite,  there will be a variety of other foods available, such as Italian Sausage, Deep Fried Pickles, Hot Dogs, Tacos, Curly Fries, Kettle Corn, Fried Dough and so much more!

Most Residents are Amish in the Town of Leon

There are approximately 1,380 residents in Leon with the Amish Community comprising about 76% of that number. The Old Order Amish settled in Leon in 1949. They do not believe in the modern conveniences. They have no electricity in their homes + travel by horse and buggy. 

If you are looking for someplace interesting to go, try the Leon area. It is right in the heart of Amish Country.
