Cross Country Ski Tours at Allegany State Park

Cross Country Ski Tour Every Friday in January and February!

Take a ski through the woods of the Art Roscoe Ski Touring area with an ASP Naturalist. Learn about the winter landscape while getting some exercise. All levels are welcome. We will start with a small “learn to ski” clinic and tips will be provided throughout the program. Please dress for the weather and bring water and a snack. **Ski Equipment is available to use during the program. Supplies are limited. Please call 716-354-6232 in advance to reserve equipment.  If there is not enough snow the program will be cancelled.

Starts Friday, January 14, 2022 at 10:30 AM-12:00 PM. Meet at the Summit Warming Hut.

Miner's Cabin built by Gold Miner

Miner’s Cabin in Franklinville was built by a miner that returned home after making it good during the gold rush era of the west coast. The building is not a cabin either but a three story house of Queen Anne design.
