The Portville Historical and Preservation Society is an educational agency, chartered by the Regents of the State of New York. It was established in 1986 in response to renewed interest in the preservation of Portville's past.
The Town of Portville is located in Cattaraugus County in the southwestern corner of New York State along the Pennyslvania border, locally referred to as the Southern Tier. Portville is 65 miles south of Buffalo and 90 miles south of Rochester.
There will be a Christmas Parade and Park Lighting Celebration. The parade will start at the Portville School and make its way down to Pioneer Park where Santa will light the park.
Food trucks, live music, and visits with Santa will be available!
Portville Central School’s Arts, Crafts, & Antiques Show returns as a one day, indoor event. It will be held at the Portville High School and will feature art, crafts, antiques and food on Saturday, November 2nd from 10:00am-5:00pm.
Proceeds collected directly benefit the students of Portville Central School in the form of achievement awards and student scholarships.

Join the Olean Community Theatre as they present Gilbert & Sullivan's HMS Pinafore, a hilarious comic opera and the story of Josephine, daughter of Captain Corcoran, and her love for sailor Ralph Rackstraw, while being torn between true love and her father's desire for her to marry Sir Joseph Porter, the First Lord of Admiralty.
