Experience the rich cultural heritage of the Haudenosaunee (Seneca) people through art, craft, and storytelling on August 12th, starting at 1pm at the Quaker Picnic Shelter at Allegany State Park. 

Join Bernadette Scott, a proud Haudenosaunee (Seneca) woman and member of the Deer Clan, for an afternoon of traditional Seneca art and culture. Learn about the art and history behind traditional crafts like cornhusk dolls, flowers, baskets, and Haudenosaunee social dancing and even try your hand at making your own corn husk doll!

The NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation is hosting a FREE fishing day on February 17-18, June 29-30, September 28, and November 11th. There’s no fishing license required on those days for the fresh or marine waters of New York State, making it the opportune time for people of all ages to learn and enjoy the day. Celebrate the Holiday Season with a Living Nativity, complete with a camel, all in the Village. The Ellicottville  A Christmas Stroll was created in 1987 by a group of citizens who wanted to organize such an event in the village. After brainstorming over coffee, it was decided that they wanted a live nativity scene with children dressed as angels and shepherds, who walked around the village and met at the gazebo. There, the baby Jesus was presented and caroling presided. The tradition has continued on for the past 36 years.
