Join Merry Ryding on October 26th from 11am-2pm for an Encaustic workshop at the Tri-County Arts Council in Olean.

Explore the art of Encaustic, a hot wax medium perfect for transforming paper scraps and other lightweight materials into beautiful creations. Participants can bring small copies of photos, poems, or quotes printed on lightweight paper, though various papers will be provided.

The NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation is hosting a FREE fishing day on February 17-18, June 29-30, September 28, and November 11th. There’s no fishing license required on those days for the fresh or marine waters of New York State, making it the opportune time for people of all ages to learn and enjoy the day. Discover the history of Allegany State Park- January 1, 2026. This year’s First Day Hike is an easy trek featuring historical and environmental tidbits of information about the features found in this area of the park. Your hike will take you along the Quaker Multiuse trail that conveniently has an entrance at Camp Turner.

At 11:30 a.m. join park educators for a guided hike at Science Lake and learn the history and interesting historical figures of the park. The Historical Society will have the Quaker Museum open from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

The Cattaraugus County Living Arts Association is announce their  2025 summer production, the high-energy, crowd-pleasing jukebox musical "Pump Boys and Dinettes"—a toe-tapping celebration of life, love, and laughter on Highway 57!

This production Will Take place on August 8th at 7:30pm, August 9th at 7:30pm, and August 10th at 2pm

Meet at Camp Allegany at 11am on January 1st, 2026. The pace and length of the ride will be moderate or determined by the riders. Participants may split into two different groups so that no one gets left behind. 

Fat Tire bikes are advised, given the conditions of the trails that may be present.
