The Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels is a historic Catholic church located in Olean, NY. Established in 1852, and granted the title of Minor Basilica in 2015, it stands as a testament to the rich religious heritage of the area. Visitors of all ages and faiths are invited to tour the basilica.

Join the Olean Community Theatre as they present Gilbert & Sullivan's HMS Pinafore, a hilarious comic opera and the story of Josephine, daughter of Captain Corcoran, and her love for sailor Ralph Rackstraw, while being torn between true love and her father's desire for her to marry Sir Joseph Porter, the First Lord of Admiralty. Celebrate the Holiday Season with a Living Nativity, complete with a camel, all in the Village. Ellicottville's A Christmas Stroll was created in 1987 by a group of citizens who wanted to organize such an event in the village. After brainstorming over coffee, it was decided that they wanted a live nativity scene with children dressed as angels and shepherds, who walked around the village and met at the gazebo. There, the baby Jesus was presented and caroling presided. The tradition has continued on for the past 37 years.

This festive Annual Santa Claus Lane Parade is held annually on the Friday after Thanksgiving and the traditional kick-off to the holiday season. Santa will be in attendance and light up thousands of lights in Lincoln Park and downtown Olean when he parades through town in celebration.
Ed.Simone performs a unique, one-man show of 'A Christmas Carol'
In this solo performance, Simone, an actor and voice artist, brings all the familiar Dickens characters vividly to life: Jacob Marley, the Cratchits, the Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Future, Old Fezziwig and, of course, Scrooge himself. In a little over an hour, Simone embodies all these characters and tells the beloved story through the eyes of a Londoner who knew them all.
The performance is presented in association with the Tri County Arts Council.

Beer is Back! The 18th annual Beer and Wine Festival is scheduled for Saturday, November 12th. With many of the region's best craft brewers, wineries and cideries in attendance you can sample your favorites, plus try out several new and unique flavors. Add live entertainment, food trucks and 1500 of your closest friends, it's an event not to be missed.
The format was adjusted so no there are two sessions in order to allow guests to have more space in the lodge. The first session is 1pm - 4pm and the second is 5pm - 8pm.
Olean 1854 is one of two amateur mens soccer teams in Cattaraugus County. Their home games are played at St. Bonaventure University or Olean Intermediate Middle School. The have the following home matches scheduled for 2025:
