Celebrate the Holiday Season with a Living Nativity, complete with a camel, all in the Village. Ellicottville's A Christmas Stroll was created in 1987 by a group of citizens who wanted to organize such an event in the village. After brainstorming over coffee, it was decided that they wanted a live nativity scene with children dressed as angels and shepherds, who walked around the village and met at the gazebo. There, the baby Jesus was presented and caroling presided. The tradition has continued on for the past 37 years.

Join Gowanda for a great day in the village filled with classic cars, community, and fun for the whole family! Whether you’re showing off your ride or just coming to check them out, this is always one of Gowanda’s favorite events of the year.

Entry Fee: $15 per vehicle

Immerse yourself in the holiday magic at Gowanda's Historic Hollywood Theatre on December 7th, 2024, at 2:00 PM, with a spectacular performance by The Springville Jazz Orchestra.

Get Ready for a Fun Ride!  Join Allegany State Park for a Bike Rodeo on July 17th at the Red House Picnic Shelter from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.! 

Bring your little cyclists for an afternoon of fun and skill-building at our specially designed bike course. Our Bike Rodeo is the perfect place for kids to test their bike handling skills, build confidence, and have a blast!  

What to Expect:

Creative Clay: Christmas Tree – November 2 & 16, 2023 (Thursday) with Violet Nolder

Cost: $40 Artisan Members & Above $50 Basic/Family Members & Non-Members

Age: 16+

Creative Clay Classes are project specific, beginner hand building classes. We will be making fun coil Christmas tree for you to display during the holiday season.

If you love snowboarding, this is the event for you. Great for spectating! Vendor Village and cookout on the Champagne Sundeck at the Yodeler Lodge. 

Discounted lift tickets for competitors and lodging are available. Assumption of risk form must be signed by a parent if competitor is under 18.
