Experience the rich cultural heritage of the Haudenosaunee (Seneca) people through art, craft, and storytelling on August 12th, starting at 1pm at the Quaker Picnic Shelter at Allegany State Park.
Join Bernadette Scott, a proud Haudenosaunee (Seneca) woman and member of the Deer Clan, for an afternoon of traditional Seneca art and culture. Learn about the art and history behind traditional crafts like cornhusk dolls, flowers, baskets, and Haudenosaunee social dancing and even try your hand at making your own corn husk doll!
Learn about the Butterflies of Allegany State Park. Park Educator and butterfly enthusiast Tom LeBlanc will guide you through the butterflies that are found here and the research on the butterflies of the park. The presentation will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the Camp Allegany Classroom.
What is a Worm moon? Or a Sugar moon? Learn about the bright orb in the night sky on Tuesday, March 3rd.
Meet in the Red House Administration building at 5:30. Wear warm clothes, appropriate footwear, and bring a flashlight.
Join ASP at the Red House Admin Lobby to capture the beautiful colors of fall with a water coloring painting class. No experience is necessary.
