The NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation is hosting a FREE fishing day on February 17-18, June 29-30, September 28, and November 11th. There’s no fishing license required on those days for the fresh or marine waters of New York State, making it the opportune time for people of all ages to learn and enjoy the day. We especially encourage those with more experience to bring along the young people in your life to show them the value of patience, the anticipation of the bite and the exhilaration of the catch!
Spring is here! Join an Allegany State Park Naturalist for a "Signs of Spring Evening Walk" explaining Allegany State Park's blossoming spring critters on Wednesday, April 23rd from 6:30-8:00pm. Participants will be treated to some early signs of spring that may include display flight of American Woodcock, chorusing amphibians, newly emerged spring plants and much more. Come early and celebrate Earth Day with making bird feeders using recyclable materials. Earth Day is all about environmental stewardship, and this activity is a meaningful way to reduce waste and support local wildlife.

Explore the forest of Pfeiffer Nature Center with a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Forester on Thursday, June 12th from 10am until 12pm.
A NYS DEC Forester will lead the way as you explore the woods, learning how to identify common trees, shrubs, and invasive plants found in Western New York. You'll hear how foresters balance tree harvesting with the needs of wildlife, recreation, and long-term forest health. This guided trail walk is perfect for curious minds of all ages!

This is a free event to come visit Santa in his beautifully decorated Santa House with Elf Shack behind selling basket raffle tickets to help support this yearly tradition. Get ready for a spine-tingling celebration! Join Wildwood's 8th birthday bash on Saturday, June 28th from 6pm-11:55pm. There will be cake (at 6pm), spooky stories, and a chance to dive into the unknown with Kristie London's gallery reading (at 7:00pm). Then, grab your flashlight and join the investigation! Proceeds will help the Wildwood Crew raise the roof (literally!) on their garage to fix some needed repairs and will eventually give guests a whole new area to explore.

There will be three, two-person one act plays performed.
The Guerrilla Theatre Project will arrive at the sculpture park on Friday evening, then proceed to write three brand new one-act plays, audition performers, rehearse and perform the plays - all in 24 hours. The performances will take place at 7:00 p.m. at different locations at the Mill Valley Road section of the park.
Kick off the summer on June 21st, 2025 when all of Main Street in Little Valley will be closed for the inaugural Little Valley Community Day! Over 30 vendors will fill the street along with food trucks, family activities, children's games, live music, bounce houses and more! The event will run from 1pm until 9pm. This is a rain or shine event.

This FREE event will be held in the Red House Area of the park at the Administration Building and is perfect for all ages!
