Celebrate New York State's Path through History Weekend with a presentation about the Holland Land Company at the Leon Historical Society on June 15th at 11am. Barker Museum's Archivist, Catherine Oag-Miller will lead the presentation. She has extensive knowledge of people and happenings of the local areas and is known for giving an engaging presentation. A NYS DEC Forester will lead the way as you explore the woods, learning how to identify common trees, shrubs, and invasive plants found in Western New York. You'll hear how foresters balance tree harvesting with the needs of wildlife, recreation, and long-term forest health. This guided trail walk is perfect for curious minds of all ages!
