Bird Lovers Festival

Gooseneck Hill Waterfowl Sanctuary will be open two days this summer, July 25th and August 29th. Tours will be of all the birds in the beautiful landscaped park. 

See over 750 ducks, geese, and swans from all over the world, two on the endangered list; the NeNe geese from Hawaii, and the red-breasted from Siberia. There will be guided tours and you can hand feed the geese and 1,000 Koi fish from Japan. There will be many baby goslings and ducklings.

Gooseneck Hill Waterfowl Sanctuary is home to two of the largest covered aviaries in the United States, with more than 78 different species and 750 endangered and protected ducks, geese, and swans.

Clare Mark is the highest elevation in Cattaraugus County

The highest point in Cattaraugus County is Clare Mark, at 2,430 feet.  This mount, in the Town of Allegany off Chipmunk Road, is privately owned, and does not have public access for hiking.  Nearby attractions are Rock City Park and Allegany State Park.
