The Gowanda Volunteer Fire Company Inc, is honored to partner with the Zoar Valley Paddling Club, Zoar Valley Canoe and Rafting Company, Erie County Sheriff’s Office Marine Division and the New York State Forest Rangers to provide a educational clinic on safe kayaking practices on the area waterways. This will be a informational clinic for the beginner kayaker to those that are a little more experienced. Clinic will include a short indoor informational session on safety measures, kayaking the Cattaraugus Creek through Zoar Valley and other area waterways, then individuals will be outside on the Cattaraugus Creek for the remainder of the day for hands on informational sessions.
